Thanks to everyone who came to the commissioning service today. Pastor Chao said that God will send us people to help us when we need them. We need you praying! It's a battlefield out there.

Many, O LORD my God,
are the wonders you have done.
The things you planned for us
no one can recount to you;
were I to speak and tell of them,
they would be too many to declare.
- Psalm 40:5
This is my theme verse for this missions trip! God has things planned for all of us-- the missionaries already in Thailand, our short-term team, the people we'll be meeting. I'm excited more by our inability to recount and predict them than the thought of going. (still a little scared about language and cultural barriers) God is marvelous.

So we spent a good amount of time talking and planning and praying for the youth program. We have a wonderful program put together-- i'd like to be a youth who gets to attend this. So, that's good. I think the VBS program for the very young kids has been even better-planned.
I don't know how long the whole thing was, but i staggered home at 1:30 last night. And i still have a ton of work to do. Yay.
It still feels very rushed, and not entirely thought out. I suspect this is a good thing more than a bad thing-- God will test us and try to make us flexible.
Yvonne's pretty good at this stuff. Me, not so much.

So i went in and got vaccinations for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Typhoid today. (i haven't gotten vaccinations since infancy, i think... i certainly don't remember any at 10, though we did do measles/rubella in junior high school)
My arms are sore. Next time, it's polio, tetanus, and some more Hepatitis B. But what's this? Two more visits? That's bogus. The immunization lady said i only needed one more visit.
At least the office is close to work! =)

It's official: we're going to Thailand from 14 July to 2 Aug.

Thailand. It looks like we're going to Thailand. Some people are torn as to whether or not God is calling them to Thailand. Pray for clarity for them.
I'm not one of those people. I'm going. Pray for wisdom for me.
I basically resigned on Tuesday. My CEO welcomed me to stay a month or two while i'm looking. Generous, but a definite solid nudge out the door.
